Milestone nears for UCSC plan that reignited enrollment debate

SANTA CRUZ — UC Santa Cruz is nearing another milestone as it moves forward with a new plan to shape campus development over the next two decades. Next month, the campus is set to begin preparation of an environmental impact report for the new long-range development plan - shaped, in part, by public feedback on its scope submitted in advance of an April 8 deadline. A draft of the environmental impact report is expected to be released early next winter, with the final plan now expected in the spring or early summer of 2021.
