PARADISE — About 700 blue and black oak trees were planted in the Camp Fire burn scar Saturday. If all goes well at least half will survive, said Butte County Resource Conservation District Forest Health Watershed Coordinator Wolfy Rougle. The district facilitated the plantings at landowners´ properties in Paradise and Magalia, aiming to restore the forest with native trees adapted to higher temperatures and resilient to fires.
