Xi highlights poverty relief, high-quality development, environmental protection

LANZHOU - President Xi Jinping has underscored efforts to push forward poverty alleviation, promote high-quality development, enhance environmental protection, and ensure and improve people`s well-being. Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, made the remarks during his inspection tour of Northwest China`s Gansu province from Aug 19 to Aug 22.
