November 12, 2018 Sudden cardiac death can rob many years of life from children and young adults who have genetic heart conditions. One of the conditions that is a prime cause of sudden cardiac death is called arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy (ARVC). It`s responsible for 25 per cent of sudden cardiac death cases in children, 22 per cent of cases in athletes, and 11 per cent of cases overall in adults.
