When Felton resident Danielle Cruz recently ripped open her monthly utility bill, she was shocked to see a new `electric generation charge` from a company called Monterey Bay Community Power. `It felt like it was slipped into our bill very secretly,` Cruz said. `And for those of us who do auto pay, it could easily be overlooked.` Cruz is hardly alone. Monterey-based Monterey Bay Community Power was bombarded with calls and emails inquiring about the new fee and higher-than-expected bills.
