Deliberations Begin on Revisions to the Strategic Energy Plan

21 August, 2017 Noriyuki Ishii On August 9, the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy (ANRE), under the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), began discussions on revising the nation`s official Strategic Energy Plan. It has been three years since the current plan was issued in 2014, and the timing of revisions is provided in the Energy Policy Basic Law. In anticipation of that, a long-term outlook was prepared in 2015 for energy supply and demand through 2030.
