Nagpur: With Covid-19 cases surging to almost 2,000 per day in the district, guardian minister Nitin Raut announced stricter restrictions in city and adjoining areas from March 15 to 21. With restrictions already in place for weekends, non-essential shops will remain open only on Friday before closing for at least nine days. The district registered 1,979 coronavirus positive cases on Thursday. Cases have been above 1,000 in 12 of last 16 days.
