Sanitary workers cremated bodies of 2,302 Covid positive, none got infected

Nagpur: Sanitary workers of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), zilla parishad (ZP) and volunteers of three NGOs have handled, conveyed and cremated 2,302 Covid-19 deceased in the last 174 days and none of them reportedly contracted the disease in the district. While civic authorities and ZP officials say following proper precautions protected these workers, an expert said dead bodies are not infective if properly wrapped and fumigated.
