Commission supports international clinical research network to treat COVID-19

An ambitious new EU-funded research initiative, EU-RESPONSE, will establish a clinical research network to treat COVID-19 and other emerging infectious diseases. The Commission announced today that it will support the project with €15.7 million. The funds are mobilised from the Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme as part of the Commission`s €1 billion pledge for coronavirus research and innovation, announced by President Ursula von der Leyen in May.
