LANSING, MI - This week`s scheduled sessions for the state House of Representatives and Senate are canceled due to the positive COVID-19 case in a Republican senator less than two weeks ago. A rare Saturday session for the Senate, however, is in the works and is “very likely,” said GOP Senate spokeswoman Amber McCann. The House session still appears on the state legislature website and was set for 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 12, but it is not happening this week, according to GOP House spokesman Gideon D`Assandro.
