Michigan reported 734 new cases of COVID-19 and eight deaths Friday, marking the third consecutive day more than 700 cases of the coronavirus were confirmed. The state has confirmed 81,621 COVID-19 cases and attributed 6,199 deaths to the virus, according to the Department of Health and Human Services. The seven-day moving average of new cases has continued to increase since mid-June, hitting 726 Friday. In other news, the governor signed one set of coronavirus-related bills while vetoing another, and a spike in COVID-19 cases is being seen along Michigan`s Indiana border.
