On first day of counselling, Allahabad HC stays appointment of 69,000 teachers in UP

The Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court on Wednesday stayed the process of appointment of 69,000 assistant basic teachers in Uttar Pradesh. The court was hearing a batch of petitions filed by a number of candidates who had raised issues with the recruitment process. The Assistant Teacher Recruitment Examination 2019 was conducted by the Examination Regulatory Authority, Uttar Pradesh.
