Tripura to have NE centre of All India Institute of Speech and Hearing

The central government has decided to set up All India Institute of Speech and Hearing`s NE regional centre at Mohanpur village of Tripura`s West district, education minister Ratan Lal Nath said. Speaking to reporters at the state secretariat, Nath informed it would provide degree and diploma courses on teaching and treating speech and hearing students as the only institute of its sort in NE India. “This institute is headquartered at Mysore. The central government has decided to set up its NE regional centre at Mohanpur in Tripura. We have shown them proposed plots and they have chosen Mohanpur Mouja for the job”, the minister said.
