Larose man gets 15 years for robbery

A 25-year-old Larose man convicted of first-degree robbery in May was sentenced to serve 15 years in prison Wednesday.Leonard Evans Jr., of 176 E. 23rd St., was originally charged with armed robbery, armed robbery with use of a firearm and possession of a firearm by felon, authorities said. A 12-member jury acquitted Evans of the armed robbery and felony weapon charges on May 2 and instead handed down a guilty verdict on the charge of first-degree robbery.A mother and daughter ......
