QRT jawans suspended for mysterious possession of ammunition

Nagpur: Two jawans of Quick Response Team (QRT) attached to Aheri police station of south Gadchiroli have been placed under suspension after they were found possessing live cartridges of sophisticated weapons under questionable circumstances. A confidential inquiry is now underway with security intelligence networks not ruling out the jawans´ involvement in a racket supplying ammunitions to the Maoists. The incident of two QRT jawans trying to accumulate ammunitions came to fore around a fortnight ago.
