I got an email from a friend and a letter to the editor on the same topic last Monday. Both were wondering about the clearing of the big, wooded lot at the corner of Glensford Drive and Cliffdale Road. Actually, they weren`t wondering. They were pretty upset. Why is it, both wondered, that Fayetteville still allows that sort of clear-cutting? And why didn`t the city ever take the wise and even visionary steps to buy up some wooded land in the midst of all that commercial development to create a park?
