Varanasi DM suspends three village officials, lodges FIRs

VARANASI: The district magistrate Yogeshwar Ram Mishra suspended a Village Development Officer (VDO) and two gram panchayat officers for financial irregularities in purchasing of solar light. FIRs have been also lodged against them and four gram pradhans. The DM took the action on the detection of the irregularities to the tune of Rs 2,36,697 in street solar light purchase.
