The Xbox One launched in the US on November 22, 2013, while the PlayStation 3 launched on November 17, 2006. The Xbox One has sold 25.82 million units in 71 months, while the PS3 sold 22.01 million units during the same timeframe. The PS3 sold 26.99 million units lifetime in the US. The Xbox One needs to sell another 1.16 million units to surpass the PS3.
