The first trailer for Stranger Things Season 3 is here. The hugely popular Netflix show will return in July--it`s been nearly two years since Season 2 was released, so expectations are high for the new batch of episodes. The trailer doesn`t reveal any plot details, but does reintroduce us to all the main characters and establishes the new season`s setting. As we already knew, Season 3 will be set during the summer vacation 1985 and the trailer shows that the kids will be hanging around the pool and the mall rather than at school. They`re clearly growing up fast too, with the suggestion that their relationships will be tested. But this being Stranger Things, it`s not all teen drama--there`s a very big and scary new creature shown right near the end. Check it out above. All the main cast are back for Season 3. So that`s Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Noah Schnapp (Will), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin), and Sadie Sink (Max). There`s also Natalia Dyer and Charlie Heaton as lovelorn teenagers Nancy and Jonathan, plus Winona Ryder as Will; Jonathan`s mom Joyce; and, of course, David Harbour as everyone`s favorite small-town cop Jim Hopper. There are some new characters too. In keeping with the tradition of casting actors who became famous in the `80s (Ryder, Matthew Modine, Paul Reiser, Sean Astin), Princess Bride star Cary Elwes is joining as sleazy politician Mayor Kline. There`s also the offspring of some `80s stars; Jake Busey, son of Point Break star Gary Busey, will play a journalist named Bruce, while Maya Thurman-Hawke (daughter of Uma and Ethan) is set to play a character named Robin.Stranger Things Season 3 hits Netflix on July 4.
