Moderate rate increases passed in Adelanto for new recycling programs

ADELANTO — The City Council has approved moderate rate increases to solid waste services in order to meet new CalRecycle expectations on mandatory organics recycling.The hikes, passed on Aug. 8, will result in the average residential customer paying $18 more per year.Under the new rate structure, the average customer — one who uses a 65-gallon trash bin — will pay $1.47 extra per month, raising the average monthly fee to $27.75 from $26.28, according to [...] ......
