Hospital ranking puts UMass Memorial 5th in state

WORCESTER - UMass Memorial Medical Center has tied for the fifth best hospital in the state, according to the U.S. News and World Report’s latest ranking of the best hospitals in America.The 29th annual rankings released Tuesday gave Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston the No. 4 spot in the country, behind only the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, Cleveland Clinic and Johns Hopkins Hospital.
