Frostproof reverses direction, approves bus service

FROSTPROOF — The City Council on Monday reversed its decision of some three months ago and agreed to a one-year, $10,611 contract with the Citrus Connection for bus service to Frostproof.The move will restore bus service, which ended in November, beginning Jan. 8, 2018, Tom Phillips, executive director of the Citrus Connection, told council.Council voted 3-1 on the new agreement, which expires on Sept. 30, 2018, the end of the municipal fiscal year.
