This weekend, the PlayerUnknown`s Battlegrounds Invitational took place at the Intel Extreme Masters Oakland tournament in Oakland, California. The competition ran from November 18-19 and pit 20 teams from around the globe in a series of matches, which ultimately saw French team aAa (Against All Authority) come out on top.After two days of competition, aAa finished at the top of the standings with 1620 points and 38 kills, taking home the grand prize of $60,000. The competition was spread out over eight matches. US team TSM led the standings after the first day of the tournament, but the competition was close throughout the tournament, with a different team taking the top spot in the first six matches.TSM ultimately finished the competition in sixth place. Another US team, Tempo Storm, amassed 1385 points and 28 kills to become the runners up of the competition, while Ghost Gaming rounded out the top three with 1375 points and 31 kills. In the Intel Extreme Masters Counter-Strike: GO competition, which also concluded this weekend, Ninjas in Pyjamas took home the top spot and a grand prize of $125,000.PUBG releases in early access on Xbox One via the Game Preview program on December 12, while the game is slated to launch in full on PC by late December. The full release will include two major new mechanics, climbing and vaulting, which were available to try on test servers last week.
