Why Are All James Bond Games Shooters?

Alex S. from Link-Cable writes: `Its a pretty simple question and one that might have an equally simple answer, but why is it that (most of) all James Bond games are first/third person shooters? Surely Sir Ian Flemings world of spies, gadgets, women, intrigue, politics and scheming can give us more than a generic Call of Duty clone? Alas thats basically all weve gotten since James Bond first hit the digital scene with most of his games eschewing gadgetry and spy mechanics for the mowing down of baddies with an AK-47 (which honestly, he doesnt even do all that much of in the movies). So for this weeks opinion piece I wanted to pose the question why are all James Bond games shooters?`
