Shazam Is DeadThe death of Shazam, AKA Billy Batson--a teenaged hero given superpowers by a mysterious wizard--is directly referenced during some of the introductory battle banter you hear in-game. It`s heard specifically between Batman and Superman, Blue Beetle and Superman, and Flash and Cyborg.For the uninitiated, in Injustice: Gods Among Us, Shazam served Superman`s tyrannical regime as a messenger and enforcer.
