UBS Global Real Estate Bubble Index 2020: Zurich moves into risk territory

UBS analyzed residential property prices in 25 major cities around the world. Zurich joins the bubble risk ranks for the first time, while Geneva remains overvalued. Despite the current global recession, on average, inflation-adjusted house price growth in these 25 cities accelerated in the last four quarters, which the authors of the study consider unsustainable. The pandemic amplifies some long-term uncertainties surrounding urban housing.
