Richmond offering more free EV charging stations to public

RICHMOND — Richmond — which just this spring announced a free public EV charging station in Marina Bay — is now offering the same service at its BART station. The city will partner with Volta, which builds electric vehicle charging networks, according to a news release. Volta will provide the first free EV charging stations on a public right-of-way in California that are not funded by taxpayer dollars, according to Richmond Mayor Tom Butt.
