National Grid Crews Working to Restore Power After Severe Lightning, High Winds Rip Through Capital Region Thursday Evening Jul 03, 2020 - 10:45 AM Another round of storms forecasted for this afternoon could cause additional outages National Grid crews have worked through the night after a series of severe storm cells moved across portions of eastern New York Thursday evening. Crews, including about 500 line, service, tree, damage assessment and public safety workers, have restored power to about 34,000 of the 41,000 customers affected.
