Ralphs distribution center will get half its power from massive solar array

Ralphs has installed a massive solar array on the roof of its 555,000-square-foot distribution center in Paramount that will provide half the facility’s electricity needs. With more than 7,000 solar panels, it’s the biggest solar project to date for The Kroger Co., parent of the Ralphs supermarket chain. The installation has a 2-megawatt capacity and will generate 4.28 million kilowatt-hours of clean power each year.
