Inspire: Perry grows into leadership role at Hope Station

For Safronia Perry, Hope Station has always been home. Even so, stepping into the role of executive director shortly before predecessor Jim Washington´s death in 2017 presented a new challenge. `There were people (who said), `You´ve got big shoes to fill,´` she said. `So (I´m) trying to live up to that, make sure I didn´t disappoint.` Washington was the well-known longtime leader of Hope Station Carlisle, which provides programs and resources for families in the Hope Station neighborhood in Carlisle´s north side.
