Missouri knew it would take the team`s best effort to down No. 2 Georgia. But the battle of the day wasn`t the matchup between the Tigers and the Bulldogs. Georgia won because of Missouri`s attack on itself. The self-inflicted wounds included a fumble returned by the Bulldogs for a touchdown, a blocked punt returned by the Bulldogs for a touchdown, another lost fumble, an interception, and numerous breakdowns in the secondary that led to big and critical gains for Georgia throughout.
