Adidas America Inc. announced the release of its highly anticipated Futurecraft 4D performance running shoe on Friday. The shoes are the result of a partnership with Silicon Valley 3D printing company Carbon 3D, which Adidas invested in last year. Carbon 3D uses a new type of additive manufacturing called `digital light synthesis` to create the midsoles of the shoes.
