Large Alabama farm sold for mixed-use development

An Alabama developer has bought one of the few remaining large undeveloped properties on U.S. Highway 72. Louis Breland of Breland Companies has purchased The Clift Farm in Madison, reports AL.com. The farm of 550 acres, which had been in the Clift family since the 1830s, will be developed for commercial, residential and medical office space.
