More than 50 people attended what was advertised Saturday as a community action workshop to shut down the Alison Canyon gas facility, where organizers issued calls for pressure to be placed on Gov. Jerry Brown to take action before he leaves office. The Save Porter Ranch and Food & Water Watch sponsored event featured speeches and workshops ran from 10 a.m. to noon inside the Castlebay Lane Charter Elementary School in Porter Ranch.
