Volunteers gather in Leesburg to pick up debris following Irma

LEESBURG — Volunteers fanned out in the Carver Heights area of Leesburg Saturday morning to clean debris from Irma. The effort was organized by the West Leesburg Community Development Corporation, in conjunction with the Leesburg Center for the Arts and the United Way of Lake and Sumter counties. About 20 volunteers made the 9 a.m. check in, and a number of others joined in the effort later in the morning. ......
