Feds awarding $25 million safety grant for Brightline corridor

A major segment of Brightline`s rail corridor is receiving up to $25 million in federal money to buttress safety measures between Miami-Dade and Brevard counties. The U.S. Department of Transportation is funneling the money through the Florida Department of Transportation for the Florida East Coast Corridor Trespassing and Intrusion Mitigation Project. The campaign is designed upgrade crossing and pedestrian safety.
