National LGBTQ civil rights group sues Florida over transgender sports ban

The nation`s largest LGBTQ civil rights organization filed a federal civil rights lawsuit Wednesday challenging a new Florida law banning transgender girls from participating in school sports. The group, the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, said the law is part of an “unprecedented attack on transgender youth” and announced it will also challenge similar laws in Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee.
