PRINCETON, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sep 21, 2020-- Bristol Myers Squibb (NYSE: BMY) today announced first results from the Phase 3 CheckMate -577 trial in which adjuvant treatment with Opdivo (nivolumab) showed a statistically significant and clinically meaningful improvement in disease-free survival (DFS), the trial`s primary endpoint, compared to placebo in patients with esophageal or gastroesophageal junction (GEJ) cancer following neoadjuvant chemoradiation therapy (CRT) and tumor resection.
