Sam-ple the music: Historic schoolhouse to host concert Thursday

The serene grounds of Sam Houston Schoolhouse State Historic Site will echo with music Thursday, Nov. 21, during the historic site´s Fall Open House and Concert. Pistol Creek Catch of the Day will perform along with Maddie and Jordan McCullough beginning at 6:30 p.m. `This is the last fundraiser for the year to benefit the Sam Houston Schoolhouse State Historic Site,` Director Mary Lynne Bell said. `Due to the unpredictability of the weather, the concert will be held inside at Raven Hall.` In addition to the concert, a hot meal with be served at a cost of $5 per person prior to the concert, beginning at 5:30 p.m. `We´ll be serving homemade chicken vegetable soup, potato soup and chili, corn...
