More Indians realising their foreign travel dream

In 2000, only 44 lakh Indians travelled abroad. Although people´s incomes had risen fast after liberalisation in 1991, less than 0.5% of the population could afford foreign travel.The number of outbound Indians increased more than five fold in the next 17 years. In 2017, almost 2.4 crore Indians went abroad.
