The Portland Art Museum is presenting the world premiere of Poetic Imagination in Japanese Art: Selections from the Collection of Mary and Cheney Cowles. Presenting more than 100 paintings and works of calligraphy from one of the finest private collections of Japanese art in North America, the exhibition opened October 13, 2018, and remains on view through January 13, 2019.
