CM ayes land, funds for defence manufacturing hub in Mihan

Nagpur: Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis has sanctioned land and funds for setting up a defence and aerospace manufacturing training centre and defence manufacturing common facility centre in Mihan. The facilities are part of Vidarbha Defense Industries Hub (VDIH), a public-private partnership (PPP) initiative. TOI had reported about plans to set up the hub in its edition dated February 8, 2018. Reliance has decided to set up a Rs6,500 crore aerospace park in Mihan in collaboration with French aviation giant Dassault. It plans to manufacture fixed wing aircraft and helicopters.
