Full-fledged train services in Northeast India will remain cut-off till August 28

GUWAHATI: Northeast is likely to remain cut-off from full-fledged rail connectivity till August 28 as restoration of flood-damaged railway infrastructure in Bihar is still underway, North East Frontier Railway (NFR) said on Saturday. NFR said restoration of railway tracks is on at many locations in Kishanganj, Katihar and Araria district of Bihar. The tracks were breached during the recent flood. `As per engineers` assessment full connectivity cannot be restored before August 28.
