This remarkable Subaru will be offered for sale on June 6th by H&H Classics at the RAC’s Woodcote Park Estate - their first auction of Sports & GT cars at this venue. H&H Classics will sell the very car – chassis 001 – that helped Subaru secure a third consecutive manufacturers’ title in 1997. Honed by none other than the legendary Colin McRae, chassis 001 played a vital role in Prodrive’s typically thorough test and development programme ahead of the 1997 season (and indeed was the press launch car). 2017 marks the twentieth anniversary of the World Rally Car formula to which the World Rally Championship is still run.
