ABI MONTHLY REPORT1- March 2017 (Main evidence) LOANS AND DEPOSITS At the end of February 2017 loans to customers granted by banks operating in Italy, totalling 1,800.9 billion euro (cf. Table 1) was nearly 101.5 billion higher than the total amount of customer deposits, totalling 1,699.4 billion euro (cf. Table 2). BANK LENDING PERFORMANCE The data for February 2017, show that loans to households and businesses were up yoy by +1.8%, up from +1.5% in the previous month, strengthening the improvement of the overall trend of the total outstanding loans.
