Canon USA have announced that they will be holding a livestream, or virtual press conference, on April 20th for their `new professional imaging products and technologies`.
As April 20th is slap bang in the midle of the date range for this year`s cancelled NAB show in Las Vegas, it`s probably safe to assume that Canon will be focusing on their cine and camcorder product lines in the livestream, which will start at 1:00pm EDT (10:00am PDT) on Monday, April 20, 2020.
They may, however, spring a surprise and also formally announce all the details about the new Canon EOS R5 professional mirrorless camera, which we saw in person last month, as well as the much-rumoured EOS R6, said to be a more affordable step-down model from the R5.
We`ll all need to tune in on April 20th to find out just exactly what Canon have up their virtual sleeves.
