Problems galore for patients, relatives in city hospitals

Nagpur: Sandip Dashesar was having heated arguments with an ambulance driver in front of CIIMS hospital in the city on Tuesday. The driver was demanding Rs5,500 to drive back his father to his native place near Bhilai in Chhattisgarh. `Ambulance from the same service charged Rs2,500 when we came to Nagpur some ten days ago. Just because we can´t go back in any other vehicle now, they are demanding more than double money,` he said. The driver was firm on the new rates and finally, Dashesar had to settle on Rs4,500.
