MONTEREY — The Monterey Peninsula Unified School District board of trustees appointed Veronica Miramontes, the programs and events manager at Restorative Justice Partners Inc. and a mother of an MPUSD student, to fill its open seat last week at a special meeting by a unanimous vote.
