Whicker: Sung Kang prolongs South Korea´s big week in Hollywood

PACIFIC PALISADES - He was flying from the Monterey Peninsula to Los Angeles on Sunday night when Jane Fonda opened the final envelope and put South Korea in lights. Sung Kang landed, turned on his percolating phone and learned that `Parasite` had won four Academy Awards, including Best Picture. `Actually that was awesome,` Kang said at Riviera Country Club on Friday. `I can´t believe a Korean movie with English subtitles won the Oscar. And to do it when I´m coming to L.A.? Incredible.` Kang had just put together a 4-under-par 67 in the second round of the Genesis Invitational, which put him at 6-under, and that was actually awesome, too.
