Rajasthan: Tick-borne diseases emerge big threat to public health

JAIPUR: Apart from swine flu and vector-borne diseases, the state is facing a new threat of tick-borne diseases. Sixteen people have died, while 3,111 persons were diagnosed with the tick-borne diseases in 2019. The zoonotic diseases are transmitted by parasitic mites which are found in domestic animals such as cattle, sheep and goats.
